How a contract job turned into a studio.
GenexOne started in 2025. Before that, Arifur spent four years scaling marketing at a Bangladesh tech company. Last seat was CMO. The part that mattered most was the engineering: figuring out what to ship, building it, watching it convert.
The studio came from wanting more of that, with fewer people in the way. The person who scopes your project ships the code and answers your email at month six. No handoff after the kickoff.
We stay small on purpose. Most work comes from referrals, so we get to pick what to say yes to. The bar: would we put this on the page two years from now?
Ship fast.
Working software beats working docs. The first version hits production in weeks, not quarters. Iteration in the open beats perfection in private.
Code is craft.
Every line on purpose. Every commit reviewable. We write boring code because boring code is what runs at 3am when nobody is watching.
Honest > polite.
Direct feedback. No fluff. If we think the spec is wrong, we say so. If we missed an estimate, we say so. The work goes faster when nobody is being precious.

Maintainable from day one. We don't ship code we wouldn't want to debug six months later. The right pattern early costs less than the wrong pattern compounded for two years.
